Reflected Laser Beam Assists Survey

Survey Instrument Setup
A handheld reflector sends the laser beam back to the surveyor's instrument. This makes a distance measurement possible without using a tape measure.

The distance from the surveyor's instrument to the building is a critical element of the forumula for determining the structure's height.
